CHALLENGE
Augustana College had outgrown their previous website platform and needed a new CMS solution that could communicate effectively with prospective students, current students and alumni. A key consideration for success was insuring the CMS could be managed and extended by Augustana's Web Services team, without reliance on outside services.
SOLUTION
After an extensive evaluation of potential solutions, Augustana selected Ingeniux CMS based on the product's pedigree in Higher Education, its price-performance capabilities and its ease of adoption for both content creators and IT development staff.
For Augustana, that adoption followed a three phase approach. Augustana initially engaged Ingeniux to implement a new website in Ingeniux CMS. This phase began with an onsite needs assessment by an Ingeniux business analyst to help define the site's information architecture, content re-use strategy and best-practices implementation strategy. The site implementation included a number of Ingeniux Application Modules, including News and Athletics, a module developed specifically for collegiate sport sites.
In phase two, Ingeniux delivered training programs for content editors, content contributors and web developers. This set the stage for a successful transition to the third phase, where Augustana took control of its web development process. To support that effort, the college subscribes to Ingeniux 360 Site Support, a yearly program that provides training, site audits and service hours to supplement in-house development efforts.
