INGENIUX ACHIEVES NAVY MARINE CORP INTRANET (NMCI) CERTIFICATION
November 18, 2003
Ingeniux Corporation, the trusted provider of XML-based Web content management software, today announced it has obtained Navy Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) certification.
NMCI certification is a rigorous process that ensures enterprise software deployed in Navy and Marine Corp installations meets a strict set of operating and interoperability requirements and is "ready and capable" of serving the United States in times of war and peace.
Ingeniux CMS is currently powering several Department of Defense Web sites, including www.lifelines.navy.mil, www.lifelines2000.org, www.lifelines.usmc.mil, www.deploymentconnections.org, www.unifiedexchange.org, www.militarystudent.org and more, including the pending DODQOL portal application..
"Never has it been more important for our technical infrastructure to work together in a secure, effective manner. Ingeniux has passed all NMCI requirements with flying colors, said Major Ramon Lao, DODQOL, Information Technology Center, CIO.
Ingeniux CMS provides a complete Web content management and publishing system for developing, managing and deploying Web content throughout the enterprise. Ingeniux CMS quickly empowers non-technical users to contribute to and manage the Web publishing process, relieving the IT bottleneck associated with creating and updating websites. Robust workflow capabilities and a granular permissioning structure ensures that content is properly approved and formatted before it's posted to the site. The result is a dramatic improvement in quality, quantity and time to Web, with a corresponding reduction in cost.
"NMCI certification is an important milestone in our .mil initiative," said Jim Edmunds, Ingeniux President and CEO. "The Navy and Marine Corp recognize the importance of open standards and XML. The DODQOLITC and LIFELines platforms staked out a leadership position at the Department of Defense in championing XML-based Web publishing. We are proud to offer an accredited platform for delivering end-to-end native XML Web content management services."
