Goucher College Launches New Web Site with Ingeniux CMS

Ingeniux Corporation, the trusted provider of XML-based Web content management software, today announced that Goucher College has launched a new Web site developed and managed with the Ingeniux Content Management System (CMS). An intensive planning, design and development process delivered a revamped Web site featuring a new Web design, streamlined information architecture, and a content management strategy that classifies and reuses content throughout the site. The new Goucher College web site is earning rave reviews from all campus constituencies.

The Goucher Web site (www.Goucher.edu) was produced by the Goucher College Office of Communications in collaboration with Ingeniux and G2G, a leading interactive design agency. Teams from Ingeniux and G2G Design worked closely with the Office of Communications to deliver a tightly integrated design and technology solution. The Goucher site utilizes a number of the newly released Ingeniux Application Modules for higher education, providing a complete web calendaring system, dynamic updating of Flash files, and content classification for automatic re-use of content throughout the site.

Goucher College used Ingeniux CMS to develop the entire web site and to unify rich media, web content, and web calendaring under a single platform. By accessing easy-to-use Web-based clients Goucher marketing and administrative staff can rapidly make changes to the web site and update Macromedia Flash, web content, and events from within the CMS. As content is developed it is classified, allowing it to be repurposed for different audiences and published to different sections of the Web site. Centralized management of events and news allows site editors to syndicate central content for re-use on departmental pages and departmental teams can 'recommend' their news and events for inclusion in all-campus news and events.
